I am one of the lucky ones, I live within walking distance of Afrikando Afrikando, I get wave at Jacque in the morning sweeping in front of this impeccably kept neighborhood establishment. Its location, the ambiance and size reminds me so much of New York. It is a great place to eat great food. Highly rated, also affordable price for an abundant meal, he did not shrink his plates as others have done recently. In fact the combo plate fills the table.

I'm from SoCal and frequently travel to Seattle area to visit a friend. I found your restaurant online and upon my last vist, my friend and I ate dinner here and man what wonderful food, everthing we ate was delicious. This will be my restaurant of choice whenever I am in the Seattle area.

"I choose to keep this simple - I've never felt so uplifted and welcomed in a restaurant as I have at Afrikando! That would have been enough, and then the food was served. Combined with the genuinely warm and sincere hospitality, was a meal that sang.

Eating this food made me want to visit West Africa. I admire the way they have decorated the restaurant and the staff are really friendly. Colorful, hot, spicy, delicious!

The anticipation for good food, the relaxing and homey feeling my family has, each time we walk in the door is amazing. Jacques has a gift we are fortunate to enjoy.

I've had the pleasure of eating many meals prepared by Mohammad before he opened the restaurant, and they are definitely second to none. After eagerly awaiting for grand opening, I was excited! Afrikando Afrikando is a wonderful place, with a great atmosphere, making you feel right at home. Everything is so tasty and flavorful, words don't really do it justice. I would recommend this place to everyone ranging from the timid to the adventuresome!
